THE LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Thanks for Joining Us!
Thank you for joining us at the Top of Mind session. I’m so fortunate that The Talent Company opens their platform with me–what a privilege to share my observations and perspectives on the state of leadership today.
Unfortunately, I think a few storms are brewing, and we’d do well to take them more seriously. Still, I’m full of optimism and hope I provided some practical suggestions for how you can capitalize on the opportunities that our current challenges provide.
I’ve spent considerable time pondering these issues, and there are more ideas, insights, and techniques than I could possibly cover in a short talk. I hope these additional resources allow you to go a little deeper. Please feel free to share the resources with your teams and colleagues.
Final note, if we haven’t connected, I would love to connect with you on LinkedIn. And consider subscribing below to receive the latest of my resources and tools.
Cheers!

Crisis #1: Botching Return to Office

This quick video helps you identify what type of work is best suited to the office. Leave the rest to the more efficient (and comfortable) remote days.

Here’s a checklist version to help you identify what to prioritize for in-office versus remote time.

I wrote an article for Harvard Business Review about having the difficult conversation about returning to the office.
Crisis #2: Squandering Energy

Want to manage your thoughtload more effectively. The best strategy I’ve ever found is bullet journalling. Here’s how.

A step-by-step guide to helping when an employee gets emotional.

This is my favourite technique for helping people focus and to work efficiently through one priority at a time. (Excuse the Covid hair!)
Crisis #3: Drowning in Conflict Debt

Click to download the Conflict Debt Assessment to spark a conversation about conflict debt in your team or organization.

An article from Fast Company about the problem of Conflict Debt

An important skill to have when you need it. How to have conflict with your boss.
Crisis #4: Eroding Accountability
Crisis #5: Making Leadership Unappealing

This video will help you assess whether your workplace is at risk of becoming toxic across any one of five different domains.

Are you saying ‘yes’ to the wrong things? Click on this image to download a tool that will help you manage your own overload and overwhelm.

This article in Harvard Business Review encourages you to reframe how you’re thinking about the investments required in resilience.
